Jennifer Apple powerfully reaches out to our better angels, through which our humanity says no more.

Our humanity speaks out and stands against #bigotry and the violence it inspires, wherever and to whomever it does so. Jennifer Apple reminds us all to keep our humanity alive by never turning a blind eye to those who suffer the atrocity of bigoted violent harassing abuse, be it anti-Semitism, islamophobia... Not turning a blind eye to anyone who suffers it. Again... to anyone ... who suffers it. For, it's when we feel the exact same amount of outrage and fight against any community torn asunder by bigotry, hatred, violence, and ignorance... from the #Jewish community, to the #Muslim community, to #trans persons, and all #LGBTQIA+ persons, people of color, people who are struggling in lower income communities, the homeless, to our nation's #immigrants, the list goes on and on... that we know we've not betrayed our humanity by selecting some to receive atrocity, rather than knowing that no one will receive it if our humanity has anything to say about it. No one will.

And whoever thinks they can slip atrocity unnoticed through our commitment to our own humanity and to the well-being of this global community of human beings, they will be stopped by our humanity from ever trying to get away with whichever version of hatred they want to package and sell to us.

They'll try to turn us against each other and make us think that we're each other's enemies, then collect the spoils after the carnage lays waste to all of us whom they aspired to exploit through their reaping of who we are and what we have to offer... to sate their unquenchable thirst, filling the empty numb space where their humanity no longer exists. And where they hope we kill our humanity as well, not to join them in their emptiness... but to feed it 'til we're drained into nothingness. To that... no. We're not buying it.

This isn't left versus right.

This is the bottom versus the top.
